What's the difference between Omnibus Polls and a custom poll?

A custom poll is built entirely around your strategic needs, including your questions, sample, and geography. When you only need answers to one — or a handful — of questions, Omnibus Polls let you add them to a shared national survey for a fast and efficient read.

How often does the Compass Poll field?

The Compass Poll fields monthly. Submit your questions early to make the next wave — if a poll reaches capacity, questions are carried to the following month. We’ll let you know your expected fielding date when you submit.

Will my questions be edited before fielding?

We’ll iterate on your questions to ensure they meet our methodology standards for the most accurate results. Any changes are made to strengthen your data, and you’ll always review and approve the final wording before your questions go into the field.

What happens if I submit my questions too late for the next Compass Poll?

Questions submitted too close to fielding may be moved to the next available Compass Poll. Because the Compass Poll fields monthly, submit early to improve your chances of making the next survey. If capacity fills up, your questions may roll to a subsequent poll.

Can you help me write my questions?

Yes. We review every submission and will suggest wording improvements if needed to ensure your questions meet our methodology standards. Any changes are made to strengthen your data, and you’ll always review and approve the final wording before your questions go into the field.

What deliverables do I receive?

As soon as the Compass Poll is fielded and weighted, you’ll receive crosstabs in spreadsheet form, accessible in the Change Research Data Portal.
