MISSION
Change Research has a mission to make the world a little more humane, scientific, and just, by making high-quality public opinion research accessible to forward-thinking campaigns and causes of all sizes.
OUR STORY: A Legacy of Innovation
Change Research was founded in the wake of the 2016 election—after industry insiders failed to anticipate the election of Donald Trump. Cofounders Mike Greenfield, the first data scientist at both PayPal and LinkedIn, and Pat Reilly, a seasoned political pro, met and bonded over a shared sense of urgency to advance a more humane, scientific, and just world.
They joined forces to launch Change Research in 2017, immediately challenging the status quo in political research, and making high-quality public opinion data more accessible to forward-thinking organizations and candidates.
Powered by our revolutionary methodology, Dynamic Online Sampling, Change Research was the only pollster to show Andrew Gillum winning the Democratic primary in Florida, Lori Lightfoot winning in Chicago, Kendra Horn winning in Oklahoma, and the first to see JD Scholten close in Iowa.
Building on our early reputation as the “hipsters” of the polling world, Change Research has achieved unparalleled growth, working with hundreds of campaigns and causes and surveying millions of Americans in the ensuing years.
Today, we continue our founding legacy of challenging the status quo in public opinion research, and in 2023, launched another groundbreaking new technology, Magnify AI Targeting. Enabled by AI and drawing on Change Research’s database of 250,000,000 survey data points, Magnify AI Targeting makes the custom voter targeting models used by large-budget organizations far more affordable and accessible.
We continue to build out a suite of integrated offerings, all of which employ fresh methods, can be deployed quickly, and cost a fraction of what our competitors charge.
